LOOK offers three different-colored cleats.
Each color matches a different degree of float:
- Black = 0° of float;
- Gray = 4.5° of float;
- Red = 9° of float.
“Float” refers to the freedom that the foot has to rotate from left to right when the shoe is clipped into the pedal. The more float your cleat offers, the less your foot will be locked into a fixed position when pedaling.
Float preference is often very personal and depends on a number of factors, such as the position of the cleat under your shoe, your position on the bike or simply what feels right to you when riding.
