Which cleats are provided with the X-Venture range pedals?

The pedals in the X-Venture range come with LOOK X-Easy Cleats. These cleats have been specifically designed for beginners and leisure/adventure use: they offer 30% easier clipping in than traditional cleats and multidirectional release. This multidirectional release means that the foot can disengage in several directions—not just by lateral heel rotation—which provides extra safety for cyclists who have not yet fully mastered the unclipping motion, or in technical terrain where emergency unclipping must be instinctive and immediate.

However, the X-Easy cleats are not suitable for competitive use: their easier and multidirectional release can cause unwanted unclipping during intense efforts (accelerations, sprints, power moves). If you move towards more sporty riding or competition, we recommend switching to LOOK X-Classic cleats, which offer a firmer hold and release exclusively by lateral heel rotation—better suited to the demands of performance.
