Yes, your second-hand LOOK bike remains covered by the legal warranty of conformity.
Legal warranty
In the event of a transfer of ownership, the new owner automatically benefits from the remaining rights under the legal warranty (art. L.217-29 of the Consumer Code). The remaining duration runs from the date of initial delivery to the first buyer (2 years in France).
LOOK+ Program
The LOOK+ program (lifetime warranty, Crash Replacement, 3-year paint coverage) is reserved for the initial buyer and is not transferable. A second-hand buyer cannot subscribe to LOOK+.
Products excluded from any warranty
Please note, some products are not covered by any warranty, including in the case of resale:
- Prototype products and sponsorship products (team/athletes);
- Products purchased from professional rental companies;
- Products sold at auction by a non-professional.
The warranty also becomes void if:
- The product has undergone an unauthorized technical or structural modification;
- It has been repainted or repaired outside an authorized LOOK center;
- It has been used with parts not authorized by LOOK;
- Its serial number has been removed, modified, or rendered illegible.
If you have any doubts about the origin or condition of a second-hand product, contact our Customer Service with the serial number and photos for verification.
